Buy-to-let investors 'keen to purchase family homes'

Buy-to-let property investors seeking houses to rent in Manchester and other places
around the UK are seeking family-sized residences, it has been
suggested.
According to PropertyEarth.Net, landlords are mainly on the hunt
for three-bedroom homes.
Of the investors polled, 57 per cent revealed they were interested
in such abodes, while 21 per cent stated they were looking for
two-bedroom dwellings.
Four-bedroom properties were being sought by 15 per cent of
respondents.
In contrast, only two per cent reported an interest in acquiring
homes with one bedroom.
Managing director of PropertyEarth.Net Dominic Toller remarked: "We
are seeing the beginning of a new buy-to-let age, where landlords
build portfolios made up of larger houses, rather than simply one
bedroom flats."
Recently, the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors suggested
that landlords should be optimistic about achieving rent increases
over the coming months, with a fall in the supply of rental
property coming on to the market cited as one cause.
