Demand exists as buyers still look for homes

The demand for homes in the UK is on the increase, despite the fact
there has been no letting up in the financial downturn for most
people in the country.
According to Rightmove.co.uk, its website has seen a significant
increase of 20 per cent in the number of people who are looking to
move to
property for sale in Southampton and other regions.
It says that people are now looking for an increased value for
money, and even though there are less people in the market, those
who are looking for the homes are looking much more intently.
Miles Shipside, commercial director at Rightmove.co.uk, said:
"There are fewer buyers out there, but our stats show they're
looking a lot harder."
Last month, the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (Rics)
reported that there had been an increase in demand for homes across
the country towards the end of last year, as people look to return
to the market.
