Update - Remembrance Day Poppy Appeal 2018

We would like to thank all of our fellow Verwoodians who have supported this fanstatic community appeal to mark the 100th year anniversary of the end of the First World War. To commemorate this special centenary we supplied the Wool to enable our community to knit BIG red poppies to decorate the railings outside of the Memorial Hall and the Memorial Monument.

As well as supplying the Wool free of charge, Irving and Sons have acted as a collection point for the knitted poppies and our office has collected well over 2000 poppies.
